leaving camper on site, turn off water or take off hose?

I'm not seasonal, but the seasonal campers I've encountered unhook and roll up their water hoses if they are going to be gone long, like Monday through Friday. Reason? Grounds keepers don't have to work around them to mow the grass, theft, and it just makes them feel better.
