LED Lights

We have a 2008 990 Artic Fox. We would like to change out the overhead lights with LED lights in the camper. Has anyone done this and if so, what LEDs do you recommend and where is the best place to purchase them.

Thanks,
jonlin

I think he made a video... I might be able to find it.

  • Retrofitted all mine with LED's from SuperbrightLED.com Inside and outside
  • my only advice is to look for LED's that are rated at 12V-24V dc.
Some times your built in charger can push 14.8V, and if you have temp corrected solar you can push up into the 15V range. LED's marked for 12V use will overheat when you start pushing them towards 13V
  • Couple years ago I bought a sack of those LED panels with all the adapters.
They work great, even I had to replace dual-side tape on them with US-made one.
My camper has original fluorescent fixtures on the ceiling, so I cut off original interior from them and put 8 of those panels over the table and 6 over the cooktop.
    Than put original cover back.
They might not last for years, but for $1 a piece, I can afford that.
For small light fixtures direct bulb replacement might work better, but this is great starting kit.
