- BedlamModeratorMy issue with the Ram mirrors is that the convex mirror is in the wrong spot when flipped down and they are sticking out the same width whether towing or not.
- ShinerBockExplorerI drive with my mirrors down when not towing. They work very well when each mirror is aimed for a certain purpose with the main mirror used more for what is behind you on either side and the small mirror used for what is right next to you. Most people that I know that hate them down is because they have both mirrors aimed at the same spot which will create a huge blind spot.
I really prefer them over the others because they look like normal mirrors when not used for towing. - spud1957Explorer

Interesting. Someone challenges your comments, your only response is to tell them to block you.
Rather contrary to the intent of a forum is it not?
Ram mirrors are hideous looking up, down, or sideways. Prefer Ford's and GM's. Cummins12V98 wrote:

Yep. I prefer the Ford mirrors 90 percent of the time also.
Enjoy mine 100 percent since they are up 100 percent of the time. ;)
Which means it looks hideous 100 percent of the time. ;)

Yep, so I drive around with silly looking donkey ears on my truck all the time. Fords have better mirrors because they work well in or out. - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIRam mirrors "UP" work very well, down not so much.

I have to disagree with you on the mirrors, having towed with both a new Ford with tow mirrors and owning Rams with tow mirrors the Rams are hands down a better tow mirror. Now cab size, I can't comment on the Ford.
Don
In the tow position I have no complaints , but otherwise the Ram mirrors are hands down inferior to the ford mirrors, of course its JMHO, only towed with the ford mirrors on the Superduty for 16 years.
When the Ram mirrors are flipped up for towing, putting the small portion of the mirror down ,it mimics the ford in any position. I find the Ram mirrors in the non towing position with the small mirror to side very distracting. Getting used to them, but would much prefer the style of the ford mirrors.
This has been a pretty big discussion on the Cummins forums, with many that would prefer the ford mirrors over the Rams, even a discussion with a vendor on a conversion kit to fit the ford mirrors on the Ram truck or similar ford mirrors to fit the Ram.
Maybe with the new 2019 changes they will catch up with the ford mirrors on the Ram :)
