I just recently upgraded my 2002 F350 7.3 PSD to Load Lifter 5000 rear air bags by Air Lift. I too was confused by the installation directions on measuring from the inside of the wheel arch to the center of the hub, as my truck rides high in the rear unloaded. I believe the instructions are not communicated (written) very well. I called Air Lifts technical department. Their tech stated that those directions are “assuming” the truck is sitting level when unloaded. Once a load is placed on the truck, squatting the suspension, the air bags are used to “level” the truck or to restore an already sagging suspension. That’s NOT what their instructions read. Lol
