Glad that you are so eager to assign responsibility. Actually, She (the trailer owner) was watching for clearance while I pulled into a street side parking spot. She "Thought" I had clearance. I realize that I had the steering wheel in my hands. We have already decided to split the deductible, no matter whose policy pays.
The problem is that many insurance companies now charge the insured with a claim whenever one is filed, whether they have to pay out or not. In other words, both our rates might go up if we turn it into both.
