The reason they put a mount on it is because some states (like Oregon) issue camper-specific plates. After all of this discussion, I'm kind of glad to not have to be concerned one way or another. My truck has a plate and my camper has its own.
Glad except for all that tax I gotta pay to the great state of WA to get that extra plate!!
It's just legal extortion to have to pay to license a TC. It does not have wheels and it is NOT a vehicle.
Next thing you know I'll have to put a license plate on my dog's @ss when he's riding in the back of the truck!
