I've never had a new engine consume this kind of oil.... I'll stick with my Power Stroke.
That does seem excessive, I've yet to see any XD owner report any significant oil consumption. Makes me wonder if it was low from the start and then discovered. At 1800 miles my oil level has not changed even a little.
