Apples and oranges. Your comparison is irrelevant. As stated, there is a specific market for people that want top of the line trucks, hence the Platinum or High Sierra. There is a market for people that want to haul heavy items, hence the 3/4 or 1 ton market. There is a market for people that want good mileage out of a pickup, hence the Ecodiesel.
I'm not entirely certain what market Nissan is trying to corner with this truck. Mileage isn't that great... cost isn't competitive... hauling ability isn't better than some Ford or Chevy half tons. I don't see how this truck fits.
