I'm not sure who the target buyer is. However, I did read a review on the XD recently and the reviewer (who did not say much good about it) suspected that the target buyer is the group who wants to brag about having a Cummins but who would refuse to own a typical American nameplate vehicle. Probably too much of a generalization, but interesting nonetheless.
