I'm finally gonna take my camper off my truck due to the Kindness of site member AJCAL225 giving me some replacement used camper jack stands, yet don't wanna just leave the camper on just the stands.So now I'm wondering how is it you guys support your Truck Camper when you take it off your truck?It probably weighs about 3000 lbs as it sits & need some way to keep it safe?I was wondering what & why you like whatever ways you do it?I used CinderBlocks before but they are heavy & take up space when stored for future use.I was hoping for a simple fast set up?

I'm leaning towards this yet wonder what thickness would be right for the weight?Of Course I would also still use the camper legs.

But painted, they can easily support up to 2950#'s. If I was storing on a flat surface, the plywood X would be my first choice. Nice advantage is with an extra piece of rubber, you could lay them in the bed of the truck to carry them with you.At home, I have a 5x8 3,500# capacity trailer I slide in under the camper then lay a couple boards across the rails and rest the camper down. Worked well and saved the camper from being totaled when a contractor backed into with the ladders on their trailer. Bent a couple of jacks, but the trailer caught the weight.Though I have been using the trailer for about 5 years, I've been wanting to make a nice set of saw horses. Not those cheap things from Lowe's as they don't carry enough weight. Only reason I haven't built them is I want to go beyond the normal and make the easily collapsible to fit in the bed of the truck before sliding in the camper so I can carry them with me.

Looking for idea on how to support my camper of truck?

They are very stable, we have had winds gusting to 40, no problem. Plus, I put them together so that I can easily disassemble, for use during long term base camp.

I purchased saw horses that were rated at 4000 pounds each. You have to build them out, but they are available on Amazon or Home Depot for the same price.

I built them and placed them under my Lance 855s which weighs about 3000 pounds dry.I have the electric jacks on blocks and just extended enough to make solid contact with them, but the weight is on the saw horses.

I did keep it up 38 inches so the door would be up above any snow fall since I parked it in an area that does not get snow cleared at the local campground.
