The floor by the door side slideout is soft, an area about 2ft by 2 ft.
The floor is laminated and Rockwood made one of the best laminated floors going but even they stopped and changed to OSB. Its almost impossible to repair that floor to the point that you wont know it. Rockwood's weakpoint is the typical RV industry inconsistent level of workmanship, especially at seals and slideout seals. Some they get right, some they don't. Its possible they let the fridge drain into the rig, as the ikss has the fridge in that curbside slide.
I would avoid it with a soft spot unless you're feeling really handy.
Thanks for the tip. I don't have time to be that handy right now with me and my wife working and two little kids.
I found another model I like. The older Jayco 23B with the end full width U dinette. Looks like you could store away the table when not in use and you have 2 large loungy sitting areas, and the sofa slides out to make it a little wider. Seems this model number was used prior to about 2012. After that they called it the X23B.
Found a 2008 seemingly in great shape. Sellers only had it a year and a half. (seems odd) They wont take less than 8K and that seems high for that age. More like 7 seems right. It's only 1 hour drive away however.
Do people really just trade up in a short 18 months or do people realize these hybrids run way too warm in the summer and move to a hardside?
