A he said the floor in all these super lightweights feels a little soft. Said a brand new one right beside it felt exactly the same. He said it's the way they make them to save weight, 3/8" something. But completely normal. Any truth to that?
This was true for me. Now I haven't spent a lot of time in many different models, but I thought our floor was soft and brought it back in to the dealer in that first year to have it checked out. They looked it over and there was nothing wrong with it, it's jutlst how to floor was. There were a couple of softer spots to it.
As per the setup fees, I think my dealer charged $300 this last time. It's hit and miss. Of course the goal is they set up and sanitize the tanks and give it a good inspection before selling it. And they will give you a walk through and explain all the parts to the trailer. My walk through with the hybrid was very helpful. My next trailer walkthrough not so much. You'll have title and license and sales tax with the dealership too, so out the door will be even higher.
Thanks for clarity on the floor. Thats not surprising to me.
Yea, I know a dealer will have some kind of fee for title and license which I think acceptable is south of $150.
Any other walk through fee nonsense is just that, nonsense. They should have already inspected it and sanitized it before they listed it for sale, and built that into their cost of aquisition before adding some margin to sell it for a profit. Listing it for one thing and trying to add another grand is straight up false advertising.
