You need popup gizmo bunk end covers on pups and hybrids to effectively run the ac. If not freeze up of coils.
I think in 08 most still had manual awnings.
You can’t even sit in a bunk end or nap in one during daytime unless gizmos are on top. I had them on both of my pups and ultra rare hybrid bunkhouse I had. You will have trouble towing with a Trailblazer. I had a 2008 tb with 5.3 V8 300 hp. It could not do 60 downhill on an interstate towing the htt empty. One tow from dealer and bought a truck.
I am definitely going to buy gizmo covers.
This 08 has an electric awning. I'm hoping it can be adjusted up a little higher, or put on an angle somehow.
I know people keep telling me I'll struggle with the trailblazer. I'm not denying it, I just refuse to buy another vehicle yet. Maybe in a couple weeks after I've lived that, I'll come back here and post "recommendations for tow vehicle". LOL I'm man enough to admit when I was wrong, but I'm stubborn enough to verify I'm wrong before admitting it. haha. No offense intended.
What gear were you pulling in?
I was in third The truck could not go into 4th. 7 percent grade. Downhill. 3.42 gear ratio. It was 100 percent attributed to frontal air limits. My tb towed 3500 pound pup with no problems. Towed empty hybrid at 3400 pounds.
