My trailblazer has the factory transmission cooler. And if it tears up, I won’t be putting a trans or motor in it, the whole vehicle is not worth that.
Yes it needs a trans cooler. The interior one is inadequate. I’m 8 years removed from Tb on steroids 5.3 V8. Had both coolers yet still cooked the motor and trans on hills. 15 mph floored 2nd gear on 15% grades. North eastern PA mountains. Where last 10 miles you need a freaking diesel. I also cooked 6.0 suburban and 4l80 trans on these mole hills.
