Herb - in China they lock you up if you have more than one kid. In the US you can have your trailer marker lights on if you want. That's called freedom. If you don't like my freedom, I suggest you move to some place where freedom is restricted. I'm staying here and enjoying my freedom - you can call me any name you like, it is what it is. I won't encumber your freedom and I won't let you encumber mine.
Sorry to belabor this silliness, but nickthehunter, what exactly did you read in my post that even hinted at restricting anyone's freedom???
My only "hint" was to be a good neighbor when camping amongst others.
Hopefully, enough said.

What we are talking about is some people think being a good neighbor means you get to choose whether or not I have my marker lights on? Interesting. And don't try the line that my marker are lights are so brilliantly illuminating that they shine in your camper and keep you awake. Compared to the other lighting in the campground - that dog won't hunt. I think what we're really talking about here is that some people don't like it, so they think nobody should be allowed to do it. That's where the "restricting my freedom" comes from.
By the time I posted my comment, the thread had gone WAY beyond marker lights. I was speaking generally about behavior that causes most others to wish you weren't there, and the general attitude of, "I can do whatever I want and 'bleep' everyone else." I think most people know the type of people I'm talking about. In my father's day, the were called "boorish".
