- BedlamModeratorIt was more interesting to read the comments about the breakdowns that were not reported in the article. I wish the crew that did the report would have responded since we don't know if these claims are substantiated or just fan-boy flames.

Here's some more testing of the HD trucks now including the Chevy.

Someone is lying about the numbers BIG time. Either that or Fords tranny is gobbling up power faster than Joey Chestnut can eat a hotdog. That can't be true either because Fords mileage numbers are very good.
Another thing; why have two different types of trailers? At these speeds aerodynamics are HUGE. Why not all the same?
It would be fun to put these trucks on the rollers and see who is lying about power numbers. - 45RicochetExplorer

...never mind, you're not worth the effort..your thread, your blather.....Name calling becomes you....

I've been watching, sort of. I just refused to respond to a worthless Ford advertisement by the local Ford dealer, well until now :W
Having said that I expected the new 6.7 PSD to be a bit faster for this test. More HP and TQ and of course that F450 4:30 rear end. I saw the PTC 5th wheel pull today all being the same 3.73 rear ends. Chevy beat the non compliant J2807 Ford and compliant Ram. But in reality they were pretty much all equal unless you ran a stop watch.
Bottom line, you can't go wrong with any of em as far as power. Of course power isn't everything.... I like a bit of longevity, comfort and cost of ownership myself.
Can't wait for the time difference from a Ford test and the PUT test though - cummins2014Explorer

This was a truck pull basically...not even resembling what most people tow at that given weight. And you need a chart to notice the difference between the two towing beasts? Whoopee. Fun article. But 100% worthless.
Fun to read, and I have read plenty of these on this forum , sure had no bearing on what I chose to buy . You said it 100% worthless in the real world of towing. - cummins2014Explorer

BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amen, Bought a new 2014 Ram, never considered whether a Ford or Chevy would beat me to the top of the hill. Towing 13K in the real world here in the west I have been able to run the speed I tow on the flat which is 62-65. Have pulled some pretty good grades, so the point of one doing better then the other I would never know . - fla-gypsyExplorer

So just because the past 3 posters are Dodge shills, anyone who posts otherwise is the same? What a bunch of......Oh never mind.
If Dodge was so great, it would not have the reputation it does, or be the perennial toilet dweller sales-wise.
This is from a former 2 time Dodge truck owner, BTW......
Wouldn't know, never owned a Dodge truck in my life until 2010, before that it was ALL Chevy trucks, from 1975 thru 2010, last three were D/A equipped trucks in LTZ trim, last two dually's...So I guess Ram has come a long way, though only thing I can compare with is a 2010, 2012 and current truck...so if they had been the perennial toilet dwellers that you so eloquently stated, I wouldn't own one based on the newer models...made me a believer..Again, never owned one until 2010, so I'm not your so called, A-typical Dodge "shills" (whatever that is???)...
you did deferr from the name calling, you just stated, "what a bunch of..... nice touch:)
I feel left out:h
