Mice ugghh

Take two Victor small wooden board snap traps and load each with a bit of peanut butter or other rodent confection. Set the two traps close together and tilt so that the bases form a shallow "V" (I usually use a spoon or some other handy object to get the slight angle). Make sure the snap wire bails are opposing (although both oriented the same direction works too). At one time, I used dried beans between the traps and that worked excellent.
The effectiveness of this setup is that if the mouse trips one trap and jumps back to evade the bail, he'll trip the opposing trap. Or, if he tries to maneuver through the two, same result. I caught many small ones across their stinking little backsides.
