Hi TC fans,Was just having a nice daydream of what truck/camper combo I'd scoop up if a winning lottery ticket somehow appeared in my pocket......which made me wonder...what would YOU buy for your combo if money was no object? Where would you go with it?I'll go first:I think I'd have a 2014 Ram 5500 crew cab 4x4 Cummins chassis-cab custom built to carry a TC, then when that's ready to go I'd drive to an RV dealer for an all-options-selected Host Mammoth triple-slide. After a few days of figuring out how everything works, I'd then set off for about a year-long trip visiting some of my favorite places, starting here out West with places like Heron MT and Mammoth Lakes CA, then make my way East for a trip down memory lane by visiting Ohio (where I'm from), NJ/NYC (where I worked & lived for several years), PA, VT, NH, ME and the numerous favorite "getaway" spots I used to visit when I lived in NJ.So dream a little on a Wednesday...you just hit the lotto & all your affairs are in order...what are you buying, where are you going?

Ford f-450 crew cab dually King Ranch edition. I like the high end 5ers. NOT sure of the brand name would have to shop around for that, but probably one of the dealers/builders that let you customize them to your liking. Then the road we would hit. Western USA and all points in between. Utah, Montana, Idaho, North and South Dakota's, Washington, Oregon. Basically each state west of the Mississippi. I love looking at the photos of bloggers who have traveled these parts. once I have done that, maybe a trip to Alaska and back home to good Ole NC. then head up the eastern coast line all the way to Maine and back down another way catching the heart land.randy

Deuce and a half with custom built cabover with dual slides. Basically any flatbed heavy duty truck with that setup. I daydream about that quite frequently.If I was to purchase new I'd go with a slide out setup and a Ram 5500. I'm not familiar enough with brands yet to know which particular one. :D

I'd have a few boondocking off-road mods done to this... then I'd start in Baja... head up West Coastto Canada, over to East Coast, down to Florida, back thru mid-west.Lift/ Sat TV/ High Speed internet.... have not read completely butlike the warranty glossy print.Just me and the bride... and a GPS. late edit... For us, traveling to all the waterski tournaments through the Pacific North West we need a large camper. I have never seen a camper built so well and of such high quality. Now I just need to save, save, save.

Put an ad for it in Parts & Equipment Trader, or on Craigslist. A buyer for it would likely have access to a Skytrack to pick it off the truck with a chain sling. Those pumps are used for shooting concrete up a crane boom, to pour concrete floors on multi-story buildings.

If that concrete pump is any good, you can probably sell it for more than the truck itself is worth. :)

That's kind of what Im going to do, Im going to sale the Compressor on back of my freightliner and build something similar to this. I got about 12/13 miles per gallon with that rig the way it is. The compressor came with it, They didn't have any way to get it off. The truck only had 48,750 miles on it when I picked it up with a fully self contained commercial Shot Crete compressor, which also has its own Diesel engine and fuel tanks. I have about $3000.00 in it right now and that includes the diesel/tags/and insurance to get it home. Big enough to keep me and my camper safe yet small enough to go anywhere I want to. I like the Camper in your pics, But I want a small sleeper and my avion on back, That should leave me with at least 10 foot of bed for my Patio lol once I unload the toys. I will add a bumper on the front, something similar to a Ranch hand, And do a custom paint job on the Cab and flatbed. Im going Jet Black on the Bed and not sure on the cab. With lots of LED lights, Tinted Glass. Anyway its something to play with.

Those mansions-on-wheels are awesome but IMO make sense for such a limited scope of use; having said that, if one's thing is to spend months at a time in one location before moving on then they are probably perfection.

To me the attractive thing about TC's (and compact C's) is their usefulness for tailgating, 1-night road trips to concerts/festivals/etc., having a base camp at the beach, etc. As amazing as those class 8 truck-based machines are, I couldn't imagine taking it out on a whim! It probably takes 2 days of planning to get the thing ready to hit the road!

To each his own, but that sure isn't my idea of fun unless it was for a bachelor party. If that whole thing was a yacht with all the toys, I could see it. It's easy to turn around on the ocean.

Jeep/truck could go in the back to explore wherever you wanted still!
