Found this on TMC. 2020 stats. My guess is the both the Cybertruck and the Rivian will both be high on the list. Looks like Cybertruck will be built in Texas. Rivian has a facility in Illionois but has not announced where the truck will be built.
One thing to keep in mind is that Tesla exports a lot of vehicles too. I am fine with importing some parts as long as the trade is balanced. I suspect that Tesla is doing more than any other auto maker to balance our trade deficit.
They are also taking more subsidies than any other U.S. auto maker.....
I’m not up on the subsidies thing. What kind of subsidies do they get?
$7500 per car from the feds. Variable from from each state. I believe that subsidy is for 200,000 cars per year.
I’m not sure but I don’t think so. I think you are referring to the tax credit that Tesla purchasers used to get. It wasn’t a subsidy to Tesla and Tesla didn’t receive any of the funds. The purchaser got a 7500 tax credit. But that was all over at the beginning of 2019. It was reduced in stages until end 2019 when it was completely eliminated. However, Ford, BMW, Nissan, Mercedes, Toyota, purchasers etc etc are still eligible for that 7500. Not TESLA purchasers.
I’m not up on what manufacturers get what subsidies but I’m not aware of Tesla getting any.
