Still, it seems nice to at least have a choice in size, which is what GM is doing. Look how many SUV's Ford offers to give people plenty of choices: Escape, Edge, Flex, Explorer, Expedition, and Expedition EL (plus the Lincoln MKC, MKX, MKT, Navigator, and Navigator EL).
