Install a continuous duty relay between the truck battery and camper battery. The relay only makes connection when the truck engine is running.
It sounds like something is wired incorrectly with the fuse burning. Who did the wiring of the seven pin connector?
Thanks- a Camping World where I bought my Lance actually did the install... I won't name names. Yet. :) They actually notified me of the issue before I pulled away, both parties thinking it was just a bad fuse, but then I started replacing them every time I stopped... They're much farther from where I live, as I travelled to buy the thing, and drove it home (that's a whole other neat story!). I did swing it by a local Camping World who replaced the fuse and suggested it was a bad turn signal stalk or relay that couldn't handle the load- replaced both and now you're basically at square one for this thread.
The way it was wired, I think the truck charges the camper battery, but apparently it's two-way as it's now draining the truck when it's off. That relay sounds like the ideal setup. Any tips or product recommendations? My electric knowledge is only a hair above average, but I'm good at wiring stuff up otherwise.
