On a trailer that is out of warranty, it may be hard to get he manufacturer to do a goodwill repair. The manufacturer only needs to honour a warranty within the stated warranty period. Outside of that it would be a goodwill gesture but the onus is on you to prove that it was nothing you did.
I had a 2010 Jayco hybrid before this trailer and had no issues with it - period. OTOH, I had issues with this 2014's oven, radio, and one of the day-night shades in the year that I owned the thing. However, both the oven (actually the whole stove and oven) and the radio were replaced under warranty. As for the blind, the dealer is prepared to approach FR for a replacement. I told them I'd try and restring it (since I need to learn) and if I fail we'll get it replaced under warranty.
Point is warranty is good / no warranty means you pay. That goes with the territory especially when you consider the lack of QC that goes into these trailers. The BW tank is testament to that. The fact that the first dealer was not much better is not surprising.
