Have you seen these trucks in person? Wondering what their payload will be. Not sure how heavy the 6.2 engine is, but even with the 7,700 gvwr max tow, it might be pretty light on payload. The second one only had the 7350 gvwr package, and being heavier than my truck I'm guessing its payload is going to be quite low. Also, for others, these look like 2011 model year trucks, so not new and I'm assuming no where near sticker price.

The truck with the 7350lb GVW and Lariat package will be short on payload for sure.

If you're frugal then why not go for an XLT? Might open up more options.

Yes, we are looking at used to stay in our budget. We have our first year of college tuition this year :E and another child in private school. Our priorities have always been their education so wife and I are frugal with the vehicles.

You're close to the end of the 2013 model year. If the truck is ABSOLUTELY 100% something you have to have right now, then get whatever makes you happy; however, if you can wait another couple of months, you should be able to order a 2014 F-250 just the way you want and have it sometime in late Sept or October

The issue is with our current truck, it is a 2001 F150 with 225,000 miles on it. We are getting ready to have to put money in it and we would rather not since we know we are going to be getting a new one. The AC is not working and it will probably need tires and brakes soon.

We have been looking for a vehicle but I have my specific wants. Gas, lariat and white that can tow.

There is a 2011 F250 gas just listed at a dealership right up the road from us but it has 70,000 miles on it already.

Since we have been towing the trailer with 2001 F150 5.4 all these years we feel that that either one of these 150 6.2 will tow as well if not better.

Even at my age, I did not get in a hurry when it came time for a new TV. I got the F250 exactly as ordered, so can't complain. BTW it is a 2WD and I don't give a flip if it is worth a few bucks less than the 4WD. :W

So if you are gonna keep the truck for a while consider ordering.

BTW, I don't really relish buying any kind of fuel, however I justify pumping gas by paying for it with some of that wad I saved when purchasing the gasser.
