Need help in finding an RV site in Cathedral City Ca. area

I've been sitting here doing my research to find a place to park my truck & camper in the Palm Springs area (Cathedral City if possible) and I'm amazed to see so many restrictions regarding the 'unit'...

I just tent camped at Lake Cahuilla this past weekend. We liked it. There is primitive camping on the sand by the lake and sites with water and electric. The other campers were nice and it was quiet. There is a small restroom with coin-op showers, but not much else. ( I don't know how to post pics.)
