Need help with the numbers on the weights and such

ok, I looked in my owners manual (funny how you can find things in there) and it says my max trailer weight is 9800lbs and my max GCWR is 15300lbs. is this all another way of what y'all been saying or is this more than what you guys have been thinking?? Those seem like I can tow bigger numbers. Am I looking at it wrong? Agin, this is going off of a rear axle ratio of 3.55, which I'm not sure how to find to confirm.
