That $300 is on the low end and you will also need a good brake controller which is another $100 to $150 and both of those need some installation which might cost if you can't do them yourself.
You will also need things like sewer and fresh water hoses, a decent water regulator, some wheel chocks, etc. so plan on another $100 min for those and you can go quite a bit higher still getting all the little odds and ends.
IMO a good negotiating tool is to nail down the actual cost of the trailer you want and then add on things like the WDH and brake controller and shoot for getting them at around 1/2 the cost or basically what the dealer's cost is and then get them to throw in the labor to install them. That can save you several hundred dollars and it doesn't cost the dealer anything profit wise plus their time which is generally for a salaried employee anyway.
