New 2018 Keystone Passport 153ML Purchase...

Hi all...I didn't see an "introduce yourself" thread so I'll do it here with a question as well(Nice to meet you all)...

I just bought the trailer mentioned above...I'll limited by my current tow vehicle possession.(5000lbs)

I was in the industry about 8 years ago so have a pretty good knowledge of what to expect but have been out a while so thought I'd ask the most current campers(you) and get ahead of the game so-to-speak....

I know from customer experience that EVERY RV has the potential for issues(Some more than others of course) but even with the best designs you can get a bad coach...(A house in a constant state of earthquake is going to have issues so we used to say)

Even so, I saw a lot less warranty claims on the Passport brand vs. others but this was back when Fleetwood was still building.

***So to my question....Anything that you all out there that are Keystone Passport owners in the last few years have experienced for "Watch me" or "Replace immediately" items?

I really appreciate the input, so thanks in advance..... And again, nice to meet you all...
  • Wow...Its nice to hear the feedback. Thank you all....Having a little buyers remorse at the moment...lol.

OldShu...It looks like in your signature line you are towing with a ridgeline and weight distribution....Am I correct?

I'd love to discuss your experiences more if you are...I have a ridgeline and am concerned about it. I started a different thread exactly on this issue.
  • We had a 2013 Keystone Passport 235exp hybrid. It never had an issue requiring warranty service in 3 seasons of heavy use. In hindsight I wish we had held into it instead of buying our current 2017 Rockwood.

    Good luck.
  • We have a Keystone Passport Elite 31RE and have thoroughly enjoyed the trailer. I can honestly say we really have not had any issues with the trailer. It has been back to the dealer once in 3 years and that was for the air conditioner recall work.

Based on our experience with this unit we would definitely consider buying another Keystone Passport product.

Best wishes to you and Happy RVing!
  • Lance makes this floor plan and is close to 1000 lbs lighter. 3700 gvw vs 4500 gvw.

If your a couple a 1475 may be worth a look. Love ours.

Hmm, still sounds like your in the industry.

    Lol...nope. I do real estate loans now...last 8 years.

The question was sincere...looking for knowledge for myself on this coach for me and my family...I was looking at three brands, I was going to get the Springdale at entry level but that 8500 btu ac in the rear lounge killed it.(horrid instillation IMHO)....Had to step up to the passport for the 1300btu and full fridge...Got lots of other bonuses but paid 3k more...I still have the contacts mind you, but answers from owners are more trustworthy vs some salespeople (not all)...

If anyone can advise, again, it would be appreciated.
