Had the same problem 2 years ago. Ordered 4 new Maxxis tires for my TT. Went to get them put on and checked date codes, 39 months old. Refused them. My local dealer recommended a set of Gladiator QR 22s 225/75/15 10 ply trailer tires. Said he has been selling these for years and never had any come back. I now have over 12,000 miles on them from Wi. to Fl. and out west. Excellent tire. No problems. Look like new. No edge wear. Ride nice. No heat build up. These were only 4 months old. China built but probably the best of the bunch. They also build semi and off road tires, so a lot better than most China bombs.
