This thread caught my eye as we just picked up a 2008 F250 and while we normally run a 5th wheel, in a couple years we have a trip planned that may be better in a truck camper.
Does anyone know is the 6100 RAWR limited by the suspension/tires or is the axle itself also limited to 6100? I have looked online and can't find anywhere that breaks down the limits by axle, springs, tires, rims to see where the weakest link is.
I've seen a few threads that say it's just the springs that are different but no links to what the axle rating is (If the tires/wheels are limiting, those are easy to swap out). I know it won't change the door tag but it would be nice if I could swap the springs or add airbags and effectively get a 1ton SRW but can't find the info to document the axle is the same.
