The brand of the equipment is Mastervolt.. I priced each component and it seems expensive to me.. do you think Mastervolt brand is junk?

Lol, not sure what you consider improved and it's apparent that you haven't spent the night, or day, in a camper in hot weather "down south".

Here in the "north west", our new rig camper AC runs almost continuous to keep up on a mid summer day and probably for about 14 hours a day (because it cools down enough at night).

And yes that genny you posted would power it no problem, I'll leave the generic ching chong vs quality generator discussion out of this.

Everybody still thinks that running it just a couple hours during the day and during the night isn't worth bothering with.

15 minutes after you shut it down for the day, the interior of your RV will be pretty close to the same temperature as it is outdoors - Or maybe even hotter if you're parked in the sun.

block foam insulation, roof insulation, have they not improved? especially on these new rigs?

Everybody still thinks that running it just a couple hours during the day and during the night isn't worth bothering with.

Well put...
That $20k would go a long ways towards buying my camper and the genny only has 20 hours on it...no extra batteries needed.
Although I would consider upgrading the pos converter for about $300.

Jeeesus, I'd sell you my like new 29' Toyhauler, that you could put 10 kayaks in the back and not even notice it...or 8 kayaks and your Harley, lol.
No gas cans to lug around, pull up to the pump and drop 30gal in the on board tank to run the 4k on board genny as long as you want to with the AC blasting, with 2 new cheapo 6v batteries and a crappy converter to boot.

Slide out, back deck for cocktails, screen porch, and 100gal of fresh water and a king size bed with a full bath....

And I could get it shipped to Florida plus purchase price for less than your $39k (before tax) maybe less than your $35k budget.


Just some perspective, or if you're interested, PM me. I can have it behind a hauler within a week. With $150 worth of free WA gasoline in the tank to run your generator for the first 2 camping trips!

No, best case scenario @ 50% duty cycle and > 50% battery depletion would be about 2 hours run time, minus any inefficiency from the inverter.
