New truck engine info

Getting ready to upgrade to a 2015 or newer Ford or Chevy gasser,3/4 or 1 ton SRW. Pulling a 10,000 lb. TT. Currently driving 02 Ford F350 SRW with a V10, love it but getting some miles,265,000. You fellows driving the new gassers, what do you think of them. Thanks
  • Speaking of F250's, any reports good or bad on the latest 6 speed Ford is dropping in?

I run a 12 F250 and am happier than a pig in stuff with it. :W
  • I just traded in my 2012 F250 with the 6.2L. It was a great truck. But I was pulling a 11k 5th wheel with it and it always felt like I was at it's limits. (which it was). Just bought a new f350 diesel dually.
  • While the V10 was a great tow engine, either of the newer gas trucks will be an upgrade, mostly due to transmission improvement. The Ford 6-speed transmission makes a huge difference, and is what you will notice most. The GM 6.0 gets good reviews too, and also a 6-speed.
