New TT, damaged power awning
My dayghter and son-in-law bought their first TT, a Jayco SLX 287BHSW (they have 4 little kids) early this year and it has been a bumpy ride ! On their second or third trip out, it rained overnight...

Have him trade it in for a boat with a canopy.
I would Try to keep things as simple as possible.
If i was thinking of changing an awning . A non powered manual awning would be my choice .
No motors to deal with , they are inexpensive and under powered motors that fail.
Also, i never leave an awning extended when im away from my trailer. High winds from an unexpected storm can rip the siding off an RV .
