Not sure what you mean by "advertised" ? F150s have had a confusing combination of towing/payload options, so it is hard to say what tow capability is.
There is a place somewhere on the web that will give you the window sticker of your Ford vehicle based on its VIN. Start there.
Google 'Ford ETIS'...you can put your VIN on that website and it will show you the build information for your vehicle, including engine size, rear axle ratio, and if it had any HD towing options. Once you know that info you can look up Ford's 2015 Tow sheet and it will show you your tow ratings for the F-150 based on the build info you find.
