Ok, I've narrowed my search down to the F350 Lariat and the Silverado 3500 LTZ, crew cabs, 4x4, and 6.7L PSD/6.6L Duramax.I've read a lot on the two models, and have found roughly the same ratio of negative:positive feedback on both.I'm also looking to go with a 2011+ used model...all things being equal, which would you choose and why?

They are both very capable trucks. Find one with the styling and features you like and go with it.

Better interior (which you gotta live with anytime you drive the thing), but I'd avoid the 2011 and early 2012 built engines. Quieter ride that I've noticed. DEF access is in the fuel cap versus under the hood (there's good and bad to that). Man step (I actually added the bed step from AMP to my truck because of how much I loved the man step on my previous F-150). However, there's a batch of them that have some sort of exhaust valve issue on the early 6.7 motors. Beyond that, I haven't heard too much. Also, the new 6.7 is packaged better than the 6.4 and now lifting the cab is more for convenience than a requirement to perform major repairs on the super duty.Now 2015 and later, far tougher call. The new GM's cab is a bit small (I'm 6 foot even). Some things I did not like, namely the lack of rear seat vents on crew cab trucks. I did like the fact that the GM was actually lower at the bed rail. So I had an easier time reaching-in. Also, GM incorporated a dedicated exhaust brake feature beyond the already excellent tow-haul mode. GM also has a more rigid frame than Ford, doesn't really come to play unless you go on logging roads or off road a bit or have really bad roads in your area. GM also rocks an IFS front suspension that may have more moving parts, but it does a better job of soaking up road imperfections.For Ford, they updated the engine with more material in the block, more horses under the hood, a simpler and probably more reliable turbo (single compressor wheel) and far stronger exhaust braking. Still has a fairly robust and simple front suspension design. You also tend to have more aftermarket support for Fords since the frame design has changed little since 2003.5. I think 2017 they bow out with an all new model, so if you wait till fall 2016, you can probably score a really awesome deal on the current truck. Really for both of them, 2015 introduces exhaust braking which is a boon for diesel towing. 2015 also seems to have brought GM from being in the dark ages to Parity with Ford, maybe even being a little ahead with interior design.

Ford for me strictly because for me the seats are more comfortable. The last GM product we bought we got rid of after 3 years because the seating was so uncomfortable. We took a big hit because of trading in but I wanted that vehicle GONE!

Interior wise I'd go with F350, drove one yesterday and it was comfortable, I'm on the short side and the GM seats are a little long for me. Engine and tranny wise the Duramax/Allison, see my Sig. Love my GM. Like A Rock.

Like A Rock.I drove the two back to back yesterday-granted, it was a GMC Denali-but the fit and finish seemed better on the GM truck. There seemed to be a good deal more road noise in the Ford, and the exhaust brake on the GM was impressive...has that been redesigned at all since the 2011 era?What should I be concerned with from either model with buying used, possibly up to 100k miles?Thanks!

I would have to go with the Ford 6.7 PSD for a all around better looking truck including the interior. If you're looking for a used DRW truck good luck finding a GM since I hardly even see these on the road these days there so rare.

I purchased a new truck in '12 and picked the Super Duty for what I thought was a better overall truck than the rest out there. My truck is almost 3 years old and has 66k miles. To date I replaced the tires, shocks, windshield wipers and that's it. It makes very impressive fuel economy and has awesome power.

This is my third Ford truck after a long line of Chevy trucks.

Bottom line both trucks are very capable and performance wise the Chevy as the edge.

Didn't the new interior for the 2500 and 3500's come out in 2015? In 2014 only the 1500's came with the new interior and body styling?

You can't go too wrong with either. I picked a F350 Lariat in 2013 because it had a more modern interior than the Chevy. If I could have waited another year, I might have gone with the Chevy and their upgraded interior.

Personal preference though, and I think either are good choices.

I own both and you cant go wrong with either the Ford or the Gm both are great reliable products .Compare both at the same trim level and take both out for a good long test drive maybe even try to rent each one for a weekend. Check the specs and compare them on that as well, then work out the best deal.
