Newbie- we bought a lemon! Delamination issues

We are going through this right now with a truck camper, we have looked at a 1/2 dozen cabovers and all had delamination issues, some worse than others. I want to impart some ideas that might work for you. I would document every thing wrong with the camper, every single thing, take pictures write captions, making it easy to page through the issues, easy to see the problems and easy to read. Then go and file a small claims at your small claims court. You attach or bring for the judge to see your pages of issues, where he can easily see the problems. I saw where the contract says 'as is" but it is worth a try. i cannot tell you the times that a judge has ignored the contract or purchase agreement and sided with the grieving party. You are talking about less than $4000.00 this is easily a small claims court issue. Tell the judge you just want him to return your money and take the camper back, you don't want any money just the amount you've been hurt.
Ive been through the BBB route, it does not work, and I have had only marginal success with the county/states attorney, look for their fraud division for their complaint forms.
Just some ideas if you do not get satisfaction from your email, ohh and btw this takes patiences and work to accomplish but that is what they count on, that it will be more bother than you want.

A hybrid maintenance checklist is not going to be much different than one for a TT.
Only difference will be maintenence for the bunk doors and Tent ends.

I'm not sure there's a checklist. A lot depends on the appliances in your camper. Lurk here - read and ask questions. Watch a lot of youtube videos -- that's what I did.

Google up the manuals for your appliances and accessories. They'll mention maintenance

Is there a good maintenance checklist anywhere? I know I already need to replace a decent amount of the caulking, and I will need to winterize it in the fall. But aside from that I am a little lost on what else I need to do.

We just sold our 2007 Roo 23SS and it was in great shape.

It has to do with care and maintenance. Most people don't do it, not just hybrid owners. Hybrids require slightly more maintenance than other RVs.
I wasn't OCD about mine. I didn't wax it and polish it. But I monitored the important stuff.

Because we lived out West, our camping season is longer so we don't let it sit long without using it.
Other areas of the country, it sits unused for months because of bad/cold weather, without being checked for issues.

Ralph, I think that is good advice. I think I will just not worry about the dealership anymore. And instead just work on it Liillte by little and have some fun with it. The other interesting thing for me is that the life expectancy of these campers is so short for what they cost new.

PA. I wasn't saying all used car lots are shady. Just the one where we bought this camper! After doing some other looking have found other bad reviews of this place.

Having dabbled in "pre owned" autos with my brother in law for about 15 years, who has been in that business for over 30 and still is, That's just the used car stereotype. No need to resent any reports LOL, it comes with the territory. Frankly that stereotype exists because the vast majority of used car lot owners and sales people are crooks. You will never see as many shady looking characters anywhere than at the auctions. Since my brother in law is a straight shooter and honest person, he gets most of his business from people who were screwed over or had the insight to see the upcoming screwing being set up, from the borderline criminal used car hacks around the area, of which there are many. He then ends up with lifetime repeat customers thanks to those guys.

OP...............the only thing I think you can do is either dump that thing or just peck away at repairs the best you can and get some use out of it. Finding a 10 year old laminated rig no matter the type, that does not have some amount of delam and water intrusion is almost impossible. Go to any used lot at an RV dealer and look close. The only ones I have ever seen @ 10 yrs old without it are one owner, immaculately maintained rigs, and there are very few out there.
