A slide introduces the chance of greater maintenance costs. For the long term of living in a truck camper and towing a trailer, I'd read through some of Bedlam's posts because he's doing very similar to what you want to do. He has a beautiful Dodge 5500 flatbed and a very good hitch arrangement for towing his similar trailer toy hauler setup. He's going the monster TC route with 2 or 3 slides and 11 to 12 feet TC floor length. The Chalet is my preference. You can get to the bathroom without opening the slide and it's a side entry. A really good camper for you would be a Northern Lite 10.2 with the 4 seasons package. Those campers are built like a boat and the 10 foot size for one person is good plus of all the TC's, they have one of the most user friendly bathrooms.
Just for kicks, here's a video of a guy who has a Dodge dually and a Northern Lite 10-2 TC with the 4 seasons option. He's full timing and learning as he goes. You might find a couple of his video's interesting/helpful.
Good Luck,
