This morning I discovered where cold outside air enters my AF interior, under the slide. I knew the outside (under the slide) is open around the tracks, but I found where the air enters the living space at each end of the step that goes up to the slide.
Any camper that uses old-school slide mechanisms, with the gears and track under the slide will have this issue. COld and hot air intrusion, and DUST when it's windy/dusty (like at an OHV area)
Campers that use the Schiwntek system seem to have less of an air gap around, and especially under the slide.
Another big turn off to me about using my camper as a full timer is the lack of seating other than the dinette. I'd want someplace I could relax, kick back, and lounge.
I have a huge trailer, but it isn't insulated (yet). If I were to hit the road for a long extended trip, I'd probably outfit the front of the trailer as a mini lounge seating area.
