UP-date:
Just an update cause I have nothing else to do right now.
Truck, RAM 5500 C&C is due at end of next month Aug, 3 Days later, if not sooner, will order the AF990, figure a week or two and then, if not at the end of July order the Polaris ACE & simple open (temp) Trailer.
All that means, if everything goes according to "Hoyle" I should be on the road "Full Time" as I should have my condo in escrow by then and effectively sold.
I plan on moving stuff during the waiting period, uHaul trailer trips (apx 2) to storage down to Bend, OR area and that will be my re-supply center and base of operations.
Then off to Moab, UT for a Buggy ride/trail campout? or just in Moab in the TC. and then?? maybe to Fallon, NV meet a fellow TC there for a bit..
While everyone suggests "starting out easily, 2-3 day then week then month trips to break in the Full Time stuff.. heheh, as true to form, doubtful I'll get more than a few days breaking it, and me, in. Something simple, local like Salt Creek, WA or Ft Worden or Flagler... we'll see, but "Break in" time will be short and sweet.
I've been Tear Drop camping for the last 6 yrs, longest was 28? days and wondered why I was heading home, so I feel I can and will adapt to anything the pops up but it's either the TC or the Condo, about the same size so not much difference IMNSHO that is..
Fun, getting anxious and can't wait.
