Mind you, I love the flat bed idea.
Gosh, we're looking at an 1172 Lance, which should be about the heaviest we should get on truck we own.
But then there's those 6,000 pound monsters Eagle Cap sells (1160 and 1165). Both nice, but one would be required to go the 4500/5500 flat bed route as the OP here is doing.
So, my question is how high will you get putting any camper on a flat bed?????
I'm already at 12 ft 4 inches on mine, in the pickup box.
Raising it above the wheels as a flat bed would do, wow, gotta be getting into heights where one really has to watch where they drive.
