Dry weight of a TT behind a 1/2ton? I'd suggest staying under 4K - that will quickly push 5K once loaded with household goods / luggage and propane tanks full.
Edit: safe rule of thumb I was taught was to find the vehicles max tow rating then take 75% of that, then subtract that 1K for personal stuff.
So a 10K rated tow vehicle you shoot for 7500 lbs loaded TT which is a dry weight number of 6500 - or thereabouts.
