For those of us that like to camp off the grid, we soon discover that one battery isn't going to cut it.

Thanks for the input.
2 batteries...I'll definitely need AGMs due to mounting restrictions.
And I'll bring my generator.:)
Lots to think about.
Unfortunately you didn't mention 'til now that you own a genset but since we now know you already have the means to recharge your battery perhaps another approach would be to just stick with that one G31 AGM you've already purchased and plan to recharge each day as you'd only need enough battery reserve on hand to get you through a typical 24 hr period. If you simply plug the trailer into the genset to allow the converter to recharge the battery you'll also then be able to use the trailer's 120 vac system as long as the genset is running. That assumes of course that this genset you have is acceptably quiet and you're camping in locations where you wouldn't be restricted from using it each morning. This approach would minimize your costs to what you've already spent and allow you to get out there a few times to ascertain just what your needs are before you invest any more $$$ in upgrading your battery reserve so you can camp for longer periods between recharges. :)
