So what's that gadget on the side of your battery box and why do you have that waterpump?
That "gadget" is a Blue Sea m-Series 6006 Battery Disconnect Switch, the purpose of which is to electrically disconnect the battery completely from the trailer so parasitic draw doesn't kill the battery when the trailer is otherwise not being used and isn't plugged into shore power. Disconnect switches are available in a variety of configurations depending on how many batteries you have, what type, and what you want the switch to do BUT regardless every trailer should be equipped with one.
If you regularly camp in private campgrounds such as KOA you'll be able to put those potable water hoses and regulator you bought to work but if you camp in the Ontario provincial park system you won't as on-site water just isn't available. Instead you have to collect it at "inconveniently located" spigots along the campground road or go to the dump station(s), fill a container or containers, return to the camper, and somehow get that water from the containers into the trailer's fresh water holding tank. I use a 12 vdc potable water pump for that purpose as it's quick, easy, and means no lifting a heavy water container.
Pics with text describing each are in my Gallery.
