Don't know about shipping costs and exchange rates but here's the same box for a lot less: NOCO HM426
It's a whole different world here in Canada. :M Recently I pulled apart my FloJet Waste Macerator pump and decided I needed a rebuild kit for it ... turns out the particular version I needed is just not available here in Canada and hard to find in the US, 'though eventually I did find it from a supplier in Florida. The advertised price was ~ $60 US but by the time it got to me factoring exchange rate, shipping, import costs, tax, the total was actually closer to $180 Cdn. :E Most times, if I'm looking for something I can only get from US suppliers and can wait for awhile to get it I'll have it shipped to a friend in NY state and either pick it up from him the next time we happen to camp together or he happens to be coming up to Ontario. If I need it "now" though it can be very costly. :M
Yeah, I get this. I've shipped to Canada from MN, even to Thunder Bay or Winnipeg and everything goes by Air rates. I don't know what happened when the US made that NAFTA deal but they sure weren't kind about anything around/over the 45th. I've sometimes gift wrapped stuff and marked it "Birthday present" but 6V batteries would be a stretch, lol.
