Well, the problem here, Mike is incorrect. The correct figure is 60 sq ft.
You can check page 9-27 of the factory Nissan manual if you'd like to verify that:

EDIT: all right.... I'll edit that. Mike has me eating crow here ! The new manuals show 30 sq ft.
I am going to do some research on it, but I "think" ( a guess at this time ) it's because of the way J2807 standards are drawn up, and the newer Nissans meet those standards. The frontal area standard is on a sliding scale that starts at 15 sq ft, and goes up to 60 sq ft, depending on the weight class. If the truck is 12,000 lb. tow capable, the frontal area "requirement" is 60 sq ft. But down at the 1500 pound limit, it is 15 sq ft. I'll do some digging into the SAE documentation.
