Nissan Frontier V6

Hi all, we currently have a 2010 Nissan Frontier V6 4x LE,short box, with a factory towing package, the TV rated towing capacity is 6K, tongue weight of 600.We are looking at the Lance 1881 (dry 3220 + 300lbs for the options). The question is...do you think the TV can tow it (with out ripping out the guts of the TV or being a major safety issue?)? The approxiamte weight of all of our stuff is 611 lbs. This includes an added 20% safety margin. We would be towing with the tamks empty. Fully loaded the approximate weight my TV is 4800lbs. I would more than likely get a WD hitch.
Thanks!
  • Hi I have a 2010 v6 crew cab, and I am interested I getting a r vision trail light 23. The tottal length is 27ft. The dry axel weight is 3880 lbs. I have electric trailer brakes. Am I safe to tow this trailer with the frontier?

Based on my experience pulling different trailers with my '06, I am going to answer that a "qualified, yes".

To some degree it will depend on your expectations.

And to, probably a larger degree, it could depend on your experience and comfort level with towing. A person with a lot of experience and who is confident, can feel good with certain rigs, and be safe driving them. Another person who we might call a nervous driver that is unsure of all the finer points, would likely feel more comfortable having "way more truck" for the job at hand.

It can also depend on how well the trailer and truck are set up ( correct hitching, etc ), and how good the suspension and tires are on both the truck and trailer.
