385 ft./lbs is still darn decent torque. Wasn't too many years ago that full size diesel pickups had that much, and it's still close to what the Isuzu cabovers have. All it would take to get the higher 2000 lb payload rating would be stiffer rear springs. If they did that you'd have a pretty decent little truck.
