There were tons of things Nissan was considering, including rebadging Ram1500's.
No one wants to buy a 10 year old truck off the showroom floor.
At the end of the day, when you need to sell 90,000 trucks a year to turn a profit, and your best years were half that (and current years are around 10,000 per year), shuttering the entire program was on the table.
Trucks are hugely profitable...when sold in sufficient volume.
