Talk about throwing Cummins under the bus and then pull them out to save their face! This is what happens when foreign leadership drives the ship.
That is what Mercedes wants to do have all of their Detroit Diesel built Mercedes designs in all of their divsions vehicles with the exception of Mercedes itself. So Freightliner , Bharat Benz and Fuso trucks will have the similar engine lineups. This push for Vertical Integration is going on with PACCAR with their DAF designed PACCAR MX engines and Volvo would love to get its NA subsidiary on the same page as it other overseas holding like Australia.
