One needs 300HP to tow with?!?!?! yowza, guess my 175 mdt is not ment to tow or get out of its own way then eh?!?!?!???
The amount of HP one needs is dependent upon the speeds one wants to go up hills. One does NOT NEED 300hp to tow a 7K trailer or a 10K trailer, it can be done with less, granted you will go slower, but 240hp is still plenty of power to tow with!
I guess some do not remember the 195HP 454 that could pull a house down, rated to tow some 10K lbs. With all of 330 or so lb ft of torque! In a BB V8 no less. 25 series trucks got 300CI I 6's with all of 105HP and 270 lb ft of torque! This motor that Nissan is looking at, would have beat ALL the motors available at the time! It would be a super monster motor!
