Nissan Titan with a diesel!!!

No matter what you drive and where it was made- this is just outstanding news!

A 300 horsepower diesel in a Nissan would be just an awesome truck for light duty towing and day to day operation. Heck- it would be a great toad and you would have the whole bed for kayaks, motorcycles, bicycles... whatever!

Congrats to Dodge and Nissan! Now go put a diesel in an SUV for the wife to drive!

    Nissan sorely needed something like this to help sales. Hopefully they are beefing up the rest of the truck to get some payload to go with the heavy 5.0 Cummins diesel motor. What diesel is Ram putting in their 1/2 tons? Is it the same 5.0 Cummins? I keep hoping one of these makers will offer a smaller diesel in the 3/4T truck lines. There is really no need for a 6.7L behemoth diesel engine in a 3/4 ton truck to get great towing performance and everyday fuel economy. A 4-5L diesel can do it just fine. I would consider a 3/4T truck with a smaller diesel but have no intention of buying one with 800 ft lbs of torque when it is not needed.

    Nissan is going with the Cummins...that will really help it on it's way.....As stated, now they're are two 1/2 ton trucks getting diesels:)
